Recently, Etherios, a division of Digi International, unveiled its Internet of Everything Kit which features a free SIM and three-month M2M cellular subscription from KORE right out of the box. This kit also features the Qualcomm QSC6270-Turbo chipset, delivering a development kit that includes ALL the tools necessary for creating cellular connected products.
This new offering from Etherios (Digi) represents yet another industry heavyweight that is partnering with KORE to accelerate time-to-market for M2M applications. During the past several months companies such as EE, Gemalto, Avnet Embedded, Optus, Huawei and ILS Technology, have teamed with KORE to help our customers by offering the best in class services M2M solution providers require.
This partnership enables mutual KORE/Digi customers to build innovative M2M solutions quickly and efficiently using Java development technologies and program applications directly on the Qualcomm chipset, reducing development time and reducing development costs. By empowering customers with built-in connectivity to the global KORE M2M network, the Ehterios Internet of Everything Kit reduces the design complicity of M2M applications and associated devices. In addition, M2M application providers can benefit from Etherios or KORE expert services that help them navigate the time-consuming, often confusing, process of certifying cellular-connected devices. The end result is a simplified and accelerated development and testing cycle and a faster time to market and thus to revenue for developers.
The dramatic growth in the Internet of Things and connected devices is driving demand for a simple, more cost-effective and faster approach to bring new M2M applications to market. As an industry pioneer, KORE understands the wireless network and device complexities of this market better than most and we are committed to sharing this knowledge with our customers and partners to ensure M2M adoptions worldwide.
