Combining KORE’s Leading Wireless Machine-to-Machine Network with Near-Field Communications Empowers CTIA Exhibitors with On-Site, Real-Time Lead Collection and Management
KORE Telematics, North America’s largest independent provider of digital wireless services for the machine-to-machine (M2M), telematics and telemetry markets, today announced that it is powering ITN International’s data collection and lead management solution at the CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2007 tradeshow and conference. Based on the KORE wireless GSM network and ITN’s near-field communications (NFC) and RFID technology, ITN’s PocketLead solution running on the bCardMobile network enables CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment exhibitors to wirelessly collect data and manage leads in real time, helping accelerate the sales cycle. CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2007 takes place at the Moscone Center in San Francisco October 23 – 25.
"Trade shows and conferences are still one of the most effective venues for lead generation and networking," said Ivan Lazarev, president of ITN International. "In most cases, these leads are collected on printed paper and much too often written as informal notes on the back of a business card. Using the KORE network to power our bCardMobile network enables exhibitors at any conference to more quickly, securely and accurately transfer lead data to the appropriate corporate customer relationship management application, ensuring timely follow up and fewer lost leads." By wirelessly enabling the ITN PocketLead solution to run on ITN’s new bCardMobile network, KORE powers the automatic transmission of lead data directly to exhibitors’ corporate headquarters. This data can then be used by an organization’s sales staff to more quickly follow up on leads, reducing sales cycles and eliminating lost leads often caused by delayed follow-up times and misplaced paper-based lead details.
"We are constantly searching for new ways to better service our attendees, sponsors and exhibitors," said Robert Mesirow, vice president of business operations and show director for CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment. The ITN PocketLead solution running on the KORE-powered bCardMobile network enables CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment to further differentiate itself from other industry events by providing exhibitors with an automated lead generation system. For the first time, our exhibitors can use the latest wireless technology to efficiently collect and transfer lead information to headquarters directly from the show floor."
ITN’s NFC technology provides CTIA attendees with identification badges which include RFID chips containing basic information, such as name, company and contact information. This helps CTIA more efficiently control attendance to special presentations. The RFID tags are read when "touched" by ITN’s SmartPhone devices, called PocketLead, providing exhibitors with the electronic information often included on a traditional business card. Exhibitors can then add additional information for each lead, such as suggested follow-up timing directly on the handheld device, and then transmit this information over the bCardMobile network powered by the KORE wireless network to appropriate sales databases.
"KORE-powered wireless M2M applications are impacting all levels of business processes, from asset tracking to environmental monitoring to lead management," said Alex Brisbourne, president and COO of KORE Telematics. "KORE continues to partner with innovative companies like ITN that are constantly striving to improve and automate business processes with M2M applications. With our GSM and CDMA wireless network services, we continue to drive M2M adoption at all levels of business in every industry." KORE will be demonstrating the power of its M2M wireless network at booth #1325 at the CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2007 conference, taking place at the Moscone Center in San Francisco from October 23 – 25, 2007, and at booth #517 in the Mobile Business Expo at Interop New York, taking place at The Javits Center in New York October 24 and 25, 2007.
