Expanded KORE CDMA Service Portfolio Adds New Rate Plans for Value-Add Services
Las Vegas, NV—April 1, 2009—KORE Telematics, the world's largest digital wireless services provider specializing in machine-to-machine (M2M) communications, today announced the immediate availability of enhanced CDMA wireless network services specifically designed to address the needs of the M2M market. The new services are ideal for Applications Service Providers, enterprises and government agencies seeking the ubiquity and reliability of CDMA technology, but were limited by cost or time-to-market constraints. These expanded services deliver inexpensive access for low-use markets, while at the same time bring 3G EV-DO service to life for data-hungry applications.
KORE's U.S. National Rate Plan provides U.S. coverage at a single, lower price point regardless of whether the device is roaming domestically. Low use applications such as security, fleet management and asset tracking benefit from lower monthly access fees and aggressive pay-per-use data plans. High-use applications benefit from the speed and throughput of the nation's largest CDMA network at economical high-volume data rates.
KORE customers can now utilize high-bandwidth wireless data for a variety of applications ranging from video surveillance to mobile advertising and billboard services to AMI/Smart Grid and other commercial applications. These applications utilize Local Area Network technologies to aggregate data from many end points and use a single broadband cellular connection to communicate with application servers. Likewise, enterprises can rely on CDMA backhaul as a business continuity/back up route for primary corporate fixed broadband services.
KORE is again changing the rules by delivering extremely attractive new domestic services to power both high and low-use applications. Additionally, the KORE CDMA Device Accreditation Service enables customers and partners to simply and efficiently gain device approvals for use on the KORE CDMA service. This service drastically reduces the man-power required to obtain approvals and provides a shorter time-tomarket for new devices. Finally, KORE introduces a Device Activation and Testing
Service that provides customers operating in roaming areas, such as Canada and Mexico, to have their device provisioned prior to shipment into the roaming area. This service makes it easy for Canadian and Mexican customers to deploy CDMA-based applications using the KORE network.
"KORE is the only specialized M2M service provider making a significant investment in rate plans and value-add services designed to make it easy to take advantage of North America's largest and most reliable CDMA network," said Alex Brisbourne, president and chief operating officer, KORE Telematics. "We are proud to provide our partners with the premier CDMA network coverage and service that they need to deliver their applications at an affordable cost. With the evolution to LTE and the prospect of greater worldwide coverage, coupled with KORE's hallmark features – aggregated 'no plans' service model and real-time portal services – KORE delivers the industry's best CDMA value for now and the future.
KORE will be exhibiting in booth #1112 at the CTIA WIRELESS 2009 show, taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas from April 1 – 3, 2009.
