FAQs

How do I start doing business with KORE?
We have business development managers throughout North America and Australia to help you start your relationship with KORE. These individuals are experienced wireless professionals who will ensure the right program is selected to meet your business needs.

Does KORE’s service work outside of North America?
Yes. KORE services, including our GPRS APN’s and SMS Short Codes work in most international destinations that support GSM networks. KORE CDMA service provides coverage throughout North America. With KORE Global Connect you get natively provision access via Teir 1 operators in over 170 countries and with satallite services, you get over 100% global connectivity.

Does KORE provide SIM cards?
Yes. KORE provides SIM cards specific to your market and needs, for GSM services.

Does KORE sell devices and radios?
No. We are 100% independent in this area. As an M2M expert, KORE works closely with the device and radio vendors to facilitate your deployments and has formal technical support and co-marketing programs with most leading suppliers. However, we do not sell these products.

Can I send SMS messages from my application to a device using KORE’s services?
Yes. Using KORE’s SMS Gateway service with a Short Code or Virtual Number , you can send and receive SMS messages between your application and devices.

Can I send SMS message to devices on networks other than KORE’s?
Yes. KORE SIMs can send and receive SMS messages to and from third party networks. If you require your application to generate messages to and from third party networks, the KORE Inter-Carrier Message Service will allow you to do this.

What happen if I use an EV-DO device and I am out of EV-DO coverage?
If you have access to the CDMA network, your device will automatically "fall back" to support the lower 1xRTT data service, albeit at lower speed. Your use and billing for service is unaffected.

How do I obtain support from KORE after I start using your services?
KORE’s support team can be accessed by email, phone, fax or by creating your own trouble tickets directly into our PRISMPro Portal. KORE also provides 24/7 telephone support.
