Strong Relationships with Telecommunications Standards Bodies

KORE has extensive experience working globally with international standards bodies to provide insight and influence on issues related to M2M service delivery. KORE is the only non-spectrum owning network service provider who is a full voting member of the PTCRB and sits on the device certification review board for GSM devices. KORE is on the executive council of the CDG who works to promote the CDMA standard. KORE is also an active member of the CTIA.

PTCRB is a global organization created by Mobile Network Operators to provide an independent evaluation process where GSM / UMTS Type Certification take place.
The technical evaluation is based on standards as well the needs of the Operators, who determine the requirements for the Type Certification Process. The PTCRB authorizes third party laboratories to conduct testing.

For over ten years, the PTCRB has demanded high standards from partnerships with Laboratories and Manufacturers; and the collaboration of GSM Operators globally.
The CDMA Development Group (CDG) is an international consortium of companies who work together to lead the growth and evolution of advanced wireless telecommunication systems. The CDG is comprised of service providers, infrastructure manufacturers, device suppliers, test equipment vendors, application developers and content providers. Its members jointly define the technical requirements for the evolution of CDMA2000 and complementary 4G systems and interoperability with other emerging wireless technologies to expand the availability of wireless products and services to consumers and businesses worldwide

CTIA-The Wireless Association® is an international non-profit membership organization that represents the wireless communications industry. Membership in the association includes wireless carriers and their suppliers, as well as providers and manufacturers of wireless data services and products.

The association advocates on behalf of its members at all levels of government. CTIA also coordinates the industry’s voluntary efforts to provide consumers with a variety of choices and information regarding their wireless products and services. This includes the voluntary industry guidelines; programs that promote mobile device recycling and reusing; and wireless accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
